So what does it mean to be the best place to work? Great coffee? Check. The Olympics on the flat screen at lunch time? Check. Nice views from our offices? Check.

But there’s more. At The Fearey Group, it means we are committed to creating a fun work place where people are glad to be here every day. It means our employees appreciate each other. Yes, we have good benefits and a solid compensation package but that stuff just gets people in the door. To keep a good team together and firing on all cylinders takes something more. In the last year our executive leadership has made it a priority to focus on our team.

Want the inside scoop? You’re just going to have to wait to read tomorrow’s Puget Sound Business Journal where all of Washington’s Best Workplaces will reveal how they do it. Tonight is the celebration, and we’re looking forward to celebrating our successes as a team. The process to get this recognition wasn’t easy, for good reason. A third-party research company surveyed staff while the company endured a robust application process.

Whatever the final outcome, I know we will be proud of our accomplishment. Few communications and PR firms in Seattle can say they’ve been around for three decades. We can. We know our staff makes the difference. Becoming a finalist for this honor is gratification enough, and I tip my hat to our team.
