MTR Western



MTR Western, a luxury motor coach and transportation company — and provider of Hawk1, the Seattle Seahawk’s official team motor coach — was the premier sponsor at the Seattle Sports Commission’s 79th Annual Sports Star of the Year Awards. The company wanted to leverage their sponsorship in the most effective way possible.


To solve this, The Fearey Group conceived the idea to find the “Ultimate Sports Fan.” To do this, Fearey created and implemented a social media content across the top three social platforms.

The winners would received the “Ultimate Fan Experience,” which included traveling on Hawk1, VIP tours of CenturyLink Field and Safeco Field, home to Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, and two tickets to the Annual MTR Western Sports Star of Year Awards show. Participants of all ages posted fan photos to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Ten lucky winners were selected.


With only a few days before the event to launch the campaign, The Fearey Group helped grow MTR Western’s Twitter following by 145 percent; Facebook by 440 percent; and added over 200 followers on Instagram. The event received its biggest turnout in years and received media attention from multiple media outlets including Crosscut, KING 5, ESPN Radio and KOMO Radio.
